Rekit takes the privacy of its users and their rights extremely seriously. We collect information based on your consent, and we therefore want you to know what information we collect, how we use it, how it might be shared, what your rights are, and how to contact us. We have written this policy as clearly and simply as possible. Please read it carefully as signing up to Rekit signifies that you consent to the uses of data that we describe.

1   What kinds of information do we collect?

1.1   Personal information you provide
We collect the personal information you provide when you sign up or when you update your profile. We also collect other information you provide such as your favorite interests or that you permission us to collect such as your phone address book.
1.2   Personal information provided by third parties
If you sign up through Facebook, we collect a limited set of personal information such as your name, email address and profile photo that is provided by Facebook.
1.3   Content you provide
We collect the content you provide when you use our Services, including when you share a post or create a note. This can include information in or about the content you provide, such as the location of a photo or the date content was created.
1.4   Your activity
We collect information about how you use our Services, such as the content you engage with, the ways you engage, the frequency and duration of your activities, the people you follow and the people you communicate with the most.
1.5   Information from other users involving you
We collect information that other people provide when they use our Services that includes information about you, such as how and when they engage with the content you post, how often they communicate with you and whether they follow you.

We collect information from or about the phones, computers, or other devices on which you install or access our Services, their locations, and connection modalities, depending on the permissions you have granted. We may associate the information we collect from your different devices, which helps us provide consistent Services across your devices.

2   How do we use this information?

2.1   Develop our Services
We develop and improve our Services and develop new features by using the information we collect to understand how our users use our Services and what they find most valuable.
2.2  Personalise your experience
We may use information we collect to prioritise content and to provide shortcuts and suggestions to you. When we have device location information, we may use it to tailor our Services for you.
2.3  Communicate with you
We use your information to inform you of content and communicate with you about our Services and your use of them. We may communicate with you via notifications, email and text. You may at any time stop receiving such communications by writing to us at hi@rekit.me to tell us to stop or by switching off notifications and unsubscribing from our emails.

3   How is this information shared?

3.1   Sharing with other Rekit users
People use our Services to connect and share with others. We make this possible by sharing with other users the content you have posted, your name, and selected information that you have provided (such as you bio and favorite interests). Other personal information is not shared although it is visible on your profile screen to you.
Other users may share content that you have posted, including your name, on other social media through share functions that we provide.
3.2   Sharing With Partners
We work with service providers who globally support our business, such as providing technical infrastructure services and data storage. We transfer information to these partners. We also work with third party measurement and analytics providers in order to improve our Services, and we share non-personally identifiable information with them. All of the partners to which we transfer information must adhere to strict data protection obligations in a way that is consistent with legal requirements and this Privacy Policy.
3.3   New owner
If the ownership or control of all or part of our Services or their assets changes, we may transfer your information to the new owner.

4   Your rights

4.1   Right to withdraw consent
You can at any time withdraw consent for us to collect and use information about you. You can do this by writing to us at hi@rekit.me
4.2   Right to access and rectify information
You can request access to the information we hold on you and we will provide it to you in the format and within the time specified by law at the time that you make the request. You may take the information to another provider. You can also request us to rectify any information you believe to be wrong and to restrict processing of your data until this is rectified.
4.3   Right to delete information
We will retain the information we collect on you until such time as you delete your Rekit account. However, you can at any time request us to delete the information that we have collected about you and we will do this within the time specified by law at the time you make the request.
4.4   Right to lodge a complaint
While we endeavour at all times to fulfil our obligations and uphold your rights, you have the right to make a complaint about our management of the information we collect on you to the relevant supervisory authority for data protection.
